چکیده

As organic farming gains popularity worldwide, it is crucial to investigate the potential benefits of using poultry manure as an fertilizer source. This study aimed assess comparative performance tomato cultivation under and conventional practices, with a specific focus on effects varying rates applications. The research was carried out at Teaching Research Farm College Agriculture Science Technology Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria. conducted during 2021 cropping season (April - June) four levels manure. Three (3) application rate (5.0 tha-1, 8.0 11 tha-1) used compare control/check no manure, all replicated times in randomized complete block design. objective this determine impact different growth yield potentials. After thorough evaluation experimental plots, found that treatment 11tha-1 demonstrated superior compared other levels. tomatoes grown exhibited significantly higher yields improved plant vigor, confirmed by recorded data. study's findings provide valuable insights for local farmers, supports use tha-1 effective strategy enhance maximize potential. necessity conducting arises from need optimize practices address growing demand sustainable environmentally friendly methods. also provides evidence improves outcomes. results obtained underline relevance optimizing nutrient management systems, fostering enhanced potential, promoting agricultural future food security.

Preliminary Study on Hepatoprotective Activity of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Pulp Against Hepatic Damage in Rats

Tomato was evaluated for its liver protective role against carbon tetrachloride (CCl ) induced liver 4 damage in Wister albino rats. Animals were orally treated with tomato pulp (20 and 40 mL/kg body weight) for seven days followed by intraperitoneal injection (2 ml/kg) of 50% v/v CC1 on the last day. The degree of 4 protection was determined by measuring levels of serum biochemical parameters ...

Comparative genome analysis of Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum tuberosum

Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum tuberosum are agriculturally important crop species as they are rich sources of starch, protein, antioxidants, lycopene, beta-carotene, vitamin C, and fiber. The genomes of S. lycopersicum and S. tuberosum are currently available. However the linear strings of nucleotides that together comprise a genome sequence are of limited significance by themselves. Computa...
